With the release date of its round-faced smartwatch drawing near, Motorola is calling on the public to help design clock faces for its new Android Wear device.

The contest, being held over on Google+, offers a free Moto 360 to the winner. Many great designs have already been submitted, so the future is looking bright for the world's first round smartwatch.

It's always amazing to see how down-right creative people can be, and there's already some gorgeous designs that have been submitted.

Motorola provided a template, and the public has taken things from there. Some concepts attempt to incorporate notifications, weather, and battery life without intruding on the watch's main purpose of telling time.

If you're a designer, hurry up and join in on the fun. As for the rest of us, we'd surely enjoy some more designs to peruse. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments section below.
