Mobile gaming, in case you haven't noticed, is huge. From the astronomical popularity of Candy Crush Saga, to the ease of using old school emulators, we love gaming on our mobile devices. The future is also bright, just take a look at the Oculus Rift, an immersive virtual world that just might change the way we view and play games.
In the here and now, we can use PS3 controllers to game on our devices or dedicate our entire device just for gaming. But if you're looking for a happy middle ground, Samsung's got your back.
As you can see from Smart Keitai's video, Samsung has introduced their Smartphone Gamepad and Mobile Console Application. According to the manufacturer:
GamePad easily connects with smartphones and tablets through Bluetooth pairing. Features optimised for Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 4.3 - including the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II, and Galaxy S III – enable easy connectivity with GamePad via NFC tag and quicker access to games via the "PLAY" button.
That's pretty cool! Bluetooth and NFC connectivity means a solid connection from device to gamepad. Additionally, the pad will sport an HDMI connector to instant mirroring to your TV, along with AllCast support for wireless mirroring. You can also atached your smartphone to the actual controller for instant on-the-go gaming.
Bundle all this with the new Mobile Console App, available through the Samsung app store and slated for seamless integration with the Gamepad, and you've got the full package: Device, controller, and marketplace.
