Forum Thread: Getting Rid of 'My Places' Notification

I have a Galaxy S 6 through Verizon. I cannot get rid of this $%^&n 'My Places' notification. I have tried a force stop (it turns itself back on), clearing data/cache...disable and clear defaults are not selectable...I have deleted recent apps I downloaded and tried a factory reset suggested by Verizon...nothing gives. I turned location on and off to see if it would appease the alert, but it still came up a couple hours later.

Step 1:

I see that there was already a post about this before but it did not clear up the issue for me. Can anybody give me a definitive way to clear this notification once and for all?
