Christmas is only a few days away with New Year's right around the corner. If you're like me, you count down the days until Christmas for family and presents like a little kid, and then count down the days until New Year's like an adult that can't wait to have their first cocktail.

To really get into the season's spirit, you can add a great-looking live wallpaper to your Android device that gives you a Christmas and New Year's countdown clock. Head to the Google Play Store to download Christmas Live Wallpaper from Jet Black Software to get started.

Now open the app, go to Settings -> Countdown Settings -> Countdown Type, and choose which holiday you want to count down to—Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Valentine's Day are all in play.

There is a premium version, Christmas Live Wallpaper Full ($1.49), that removes ads and opens up a bunch of other options, like scene color adjustments, snow speed, tree light color, and more, but the free one is more than enough if you just want to keep things simple.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari. See what else is coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18.4 update.
