Android 12 Phones: Complete Up-to-Date List of Devices That Support or Will Support Android 12

Complete Up-to-Date List of Devices That Support or Will Support Android 12

Android 12 was released to the Google Pixel devices on Oct. 19, 2021, so anyone with a Pixel 3 or newer model can install the new operating system with an over-the-air update. The AOSP version of Android 12 was released a few weeks earlier on Oct. 4, so OEMs could use or modify the source code on their smartphones. So, what devices have or will have Android 12 then?

So far, not many. The Pixel lineup and a few Samsung Galaxy devices make up the bulk of devices that support Android 12 in the United States, but you'll even see phones from Asus, OnePlus, and Sony. Other manufacturers will join the list when they add Android 12, either modified or unmodified, to their devices. You can expect OEMs in the Android One program to run stock Android 12, but there's no telling which phone will be supported first.

Check the list below to see all the currently supported devices and the devices that will get Android 12 in the U.S. and internationally. Some phone models have developer and/or public betas already, as well as devices officially announced to support Android 12 soon. There are also some rumored phones!

Android 12 Skins

For reference, many manufacturers take a while to push out Android 12 updates because they have to incorporate their skins over the Android system. If you don't see "Android 12" mentioned explicitly by the manufacturer but do see one of the below skins, it's the manufacturer's version of Android 12.

  • ASUS = ZenUI 8
  • LG = LG UX 11
  • Motorola = Android One / My UX
  • Nokia = Android One
  • OnePlus = OxygenOS 12
  • Oppo = ColorOS 12
  • Realme = Realme UI 3.0
  • Samsung = One UI 4.0
  • Sony = AOSP Android 12 builds for unlocked devices
  • Vivo = OriginOS 2
  • Xiaomi = MIUI 13

If the phone is on this list, it has or can be updated to Android 12 in the U.S. — as long as your phone is unlocked or your wireless carrier has approved the update. Not all U.S. wireless providers release Android updates simultaneously, so keep that in mind if you don't see the update on your phone yet.

Phones Supporting Android 12 Betas

A few manufacturers have given rollout schedules for various beta versions, including early access, developer previews, public betas, etc. Some test software is available right now, while others are anticipated to happen soon.

Note that Sony has its Open Devices program, which gives specific unlocked Xperia models access to AOSP Android 12 builds. You need an Ubuntu or Linux computer to follow along with Sony's AOSP Android 12 build instructions. These are not betas for Sony's Xperia UI.

Phones That Have Android 12 Internal Betas

While developers and the public can install the above betas, some manufacturers and cellular providers run closed internal betas, which aren't easy to access. For Android 12, Xiaomi has a lot.
