The Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime Is Now Available

With all the hype surrounding the recent Galaxy S8 release, it can be easy to forget Samsung makes other smartphones. But let's be real here; $726 isn't cheap. If you're someone who doesn't want to drop that kind of cash on a smartphone — or who doesn't feel your device needs all the bells and whistles that come with Samsung's premium line — the new J3 Prime might be right for you.

Retailing for $150, the J3 Prime is as cheap as smartphones come these days. But like a lot of budget smartphones, that price holds some consequences. This smartphone isn't breaking any spec-records anytime soon. Still, for the money, the internals don't look too shabby. As T-mobile told Gadget Hacks, the J3 Prime includes ...

  • 5 inch 1280 x 720 resolution display
  • 5 MP rear-facing camera, and 2 MP front-facing camera
  • Quad-Core 1.35 GHz Exynos 7570 processor with 1.5 GB RAM
  • 16 GB internal storage (expandable to 256 GB)
  • 2600 mAh battery

Your eyes may not want to see this phone running next to the S8, but your wallet sure does. Your selfies may not be as clear as you'd like — and your storage may run out fast without any expansion — but the screen is large, and less processing power means the smaller battery won't have to work as hard.

If you feel this phone is for you, you can pick it up from either T-Mobile or Metro PCS. But act fast; there's a limited time discount of 50%, meaning this already-discounted phone will only cost you $75. Think about all the things you can buy with that extra savings. Like donuts. Mmm, donuts.
